Billy Gates stepping away and the Clowns in the Senate vote on Iraq

The co-founder of Microsoft is embarking on a two year transition to step away from the day-to-day operation of Microsoft. He wants to run his charity..which is of course named after him and his wife. For some reason, this excited the hell out of the stock market folks..Microsoft stock rose 19 cents, or 0.87 percent, to close Thursday at $22.07 on the Nasdaq Stock Market. Shares gained 5 cents in after-hours trading.

Up on the hill, the elected asshats debated..and I use that term loosely..the occupation of Iraq. There was a vote of 93-6 by those clowns to "shelve" the idea of demanding a troop reduction. So, as much as the Democraps argue about how wrong the occupation of Iraq is...look at the vote. The only folks to vote against shelving the bill were: Kerry, Russ Feingold, Barbara Boxer, Robert Byrd of West Virginia, Tom Harkin of Iowa, and Ted Kennedy.

Can you say "lip-service"? I can..
