PHOTO OF THE DAY

Ok, I am back from the trek over the mountains to L.A. Below is my photo essay with music of course..the wonderful Richard Thompson's music.

We were 6,000 strong according to estimates..All colors and ages along with the rich and the poor..we all spoke as one voice today..our voices echoing in the concrete valley of Hollywood Blvd. We showed our solidarity with the March on the Pentagon and it felt great to be among thousands of people of like mind and spirit.

It was a long day and it ended with some dickwad smashing into my car less than five miles from home. Ain't that a bitch folks, I ask..Ain't that a bitch?

Anyway..here is my lil essay..We had stars like Martin Sheen, but I only took pics of the folks like you and I. They aren't the best pics..but hey..it was a LONG day. Oh..I wasn't the only nutjob from here..our usual suspects went..I pick them out in the video for you :)

I have culled pics from all the worldwide marches today..and brothers and sisters..there were plenty! I will make a video of that one for tomorrow. I think Neil Young's Impeach the Prez will go quite well with that one..don't you?

Sorry I missed it...it would have been preferable to Santa Barbara believe me! So very sorry about the car...I hope it wasn't to big a deal and won't be a lot of red tape to clear up. I feel guilty that I wasn't there to have been some comfort...like slapping the guy that hit you for starters. Hope it didn't rough up your back too much.

The gentleman that hit barely spoke english and when I left the scene, the highway patrol were trying to get some straight answers out of him as to whether his Drivers License was his or someone else's since he couldn't get the birthday right 3 times in a row.

It was great to see Bako well represented Sumo..make me all warm and fuzzy :) You would of loved it..there will sadly be a next time I am sure..you must go with me then.

As I suspected, people were eventually going to take to the streets in big numbers ala Vietnam. Hopefully, we can get through this without the results we had the last time.

Poobie..times are different now, the cops can beat and mace the shit out of people like they used to..

The march here in DC was a great thing to be in. So many people didn't make it through the storm Friday night to get into the city (icy rain, sleet, snow). But those who did were a wonder to behold and I was proud to walk with them.

Lapopessa, thats for your writeup on your blog..it was sad to hear so many buses of people never made it..it breaks my heart since people were coming from as far as AZ.
