Pete Domenici, involved up to his brown eyes in the firing of the New Mexico US Attorney scandal, has decided he is done carrying water for BushCo's war in Iraq. In a public statement he said this, via WaPo:
"We cannot continue asking our troops to sacrifice indefinitely while the Iraqi government is not making measurable progress," Domenici said. "I do not support an immediate withdrawal from Iraq or a reduction in funding for our troops. But I do support a new strategy that will move our troops out of combat operations and on the path to coming home."
Pete-baby has said he will support the bill floating around that is based on the ISG report that calls for troops all out of Iraq by March 08.
To be clear, I have no idea if Pete's eyes are brown. But seeing as how he is so full of shit 99% of the time..they damn well should be.
