ABC's Charlie Gibson will be the recipient of the 2008 Sol Taishoff Award for Distinguished Contributions to Broadcast Journalism.
Gibson will receive the honor at a dinner in Washington in February.
"The judges cited [Gibson's] professionalism and judgment in dealing with breaking news stories like the shootings at Virginia Tech and analytical stories involving the U.S. economy," according to a Foundation press release.
Past recipients include Bob Schieffer, Gwen Ifill, Dan Rather, and the late Tim Russert.
Try the fish at your dinner Charlie. Hopefully it won't suck like your interviewing style.
