This story is funny, but then...it's not. Women, who's livelihood is prostitution, which is perfectly legal in Amsterdam, shouldn't be discriminated against. But they are.
Banks refuse credit for anyone in the prostitution industry. They even refuse to allow them to open bank accounts. Prostitution is a legal industry in Amsterdam, its know world-wide.
Giving workers access to banking services and products would legitimize the industry and give workers the ability to better their lives and those of their families. They pay income taxes, yet they are not allowed to use banking services.
This double standard is total bullshit. Prostitution is a legal industry so treat it like one.
