U.S. Rep. Alan Grayson of Orlando, the Democrat that Republicans love to hate, took aim last night at the GOP’s opposition to legislation that would extend unemployment benefits. Those fucks on the other side of the aisle can kiss my brown ass...both cheeks. They are so friggin in the pockets of the uber-rich and the corporations, it makes me physically ill to think of the idiots that continue to vote them into office. They are the party that vows to provide cheap labor to the corporations and it makes me so angry I want to punch someone..or something.
In a speech before a largely empty House chamber, Grayson slammed Republicans for “taking food out of the mouths of children.”
Noting that his grandfather scoured the garbage dump for things he could sell to support his family in the 1930s, Grayson said, “That is the America the Republicans are trying to revive — the America of desperate straits and cheap labor.”
“I know what [Republicans] are thinking: ‘Why don’t they just sell some stock? If they’re in really dire straits, maybe they could take some of their art collection and send it off to the auctioneer. And if they’re in deep, deep trouble, maybe the unemployed can sell one of their yachts.’ That’s what the Republicans are thinking,” Grayson said.
That prompted Dan Gainor, vice president of the conservative Media Research Center, to tweet, “I’ll give $100 to first Rep. who punches smary [sic] idiot Alan Grayson in nose. He’s a caricature of a congressman.”
Which, in turn, prompted Grayson’s office to accuse the Republican establishment of encouraging violence against him. The liberal Media Matters for America spread Gainor’s tweet around. Gainor later tweeted that he was joking.
Listen to it all folks...its short and to the fucking point. I love this man.
