The Architect: Karl Rove and the Master Plan for Absolute Power

A new book hits the streets this week, according to RawStory. The title is: The Architect: Karl Rove and the Master Plan for Absolute Power. Its written by two TX gents by the name of James Moore and senior Dallas Morning News political reporter Wayne Slater. There are some startling disclosures, such as:

Karl Rove's step-father, Louis Rove, divorced his mother and lived the rest of his adult life as an openly gay man. That Rove's mother perhaps committed suicide after being unable to come to grips with the openly gay lifestyle of the man she had been married to, and who raised Karl Rove as his son, for over 20 years. Karl only learned that Louis Rove wasn't his biological father after his parents divorced, when Rove was an adult. The other tidbit dropped in the RawStory piece is about Abramoff:

"The book also alleges that Rove held streetcorner meetings with fallen superlobbyist Jack Abramoff, knowing that all visits and phones calls to the White House were logged."

The part I really find interesting is that Rove is an agnostic. The man, who has used Jesus to take back control of two of the three branches of goverment, doesn't believe in god. Will this put a damper on those religious fundi's campaign donations?

The RawStory write-up, although brief, can be read here. The book will be released tomorrow by Crown Books.
