Per this article on Rueters, the new head cheese, Ki-moon is starting with a bang:
"U.N. Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon on Thursday asked more than 30 top officials to offer their resignation so he can move quickly to take control of the world body's bureaucracy, aides said."
Now, this could be another "old cronies" type of thing..but lets try to be positive and hope the new kid on the block will put folks in that want the UN to be more than a worthless bunch of idiots that only think of what will be good for their own countries and fuck the rest of the world. I have always wanted more out of the UN..and I think they have the ability to affect change in third world countries that are so far back..they are barely out of the "living in cave's" era.
Its like the Democrats..we should give him the benefit of the doubt until he starts fucking shit up and looking like every other Gen Secretary they have had in the last couple of decades..worthless mouthpiece who appears more like a publicity whore than someone who wants to see some change where its needed most..the poverty stricken places run by assholes that line their pockets whilst their people die of disease or starve.
