Huckabee jokes about assassinating Obama

Assassinating anyone isn't funny. Ever. From AP, these words came out of his mouth:
Even the NRA crowd, where he delivered the line, didn't laugh. Sick Fuck.

Weathervane McCain sews up Repub nod..

And..he will hurry on over to the White House tomorrow to get King George's kiss of death..er, I mean blessing.
We, the universal we, can only hope that Bush endorsing and waxing poetic (snark alert) about the wonders of McCain will have the opposite effect on the masses. I fully expect the 20% still drinking the KoolAid to get giddy..but the rest of the registered Repubs will just sigh and vote for anyone else but Weathervane.
Huck is giving his goodbye speech..lol..and he's using a baseball analogy. God save us from this dispshit.

Huckabee's floating cross Christmas ad
The worst commercial was Hucks. He actually had a freaking cross roll into the picture at the end of his. Even Matthews couldn't believe it. Everyone else just had the good ol' Xmas tree in the background..or a roaring fireplace..but not Huckabee. Nope, he had to get that good time religion 'product placement' into the picture.
I need to see if I can d/l it and post it here..un-fucking-believable.
Update: FOUND IT..catch the 'floating cross' behind ol Mikey. Talk about product placement..this one takes the gold.well, it just goes right along with the push polling being done in his name, don't ya know?
this version..lol..has an overlay soundtrack that isn't part of the actual commercial.
Huckabee and push polling

He is denying any involvement of course, but none the less, cretins are doing it in his name. From HuffPo:
Patrick Davis, the executive director of Common Sense Issues, confirmed to The Huffington Post that his group is behind the New Hampshire push-polling calls which are targeted at a broad group of voters statewide.
"Our group is completely independent of the Huckabee campaign," Davis, a political consultant based in Colorado Springs, said. "We are running an independent effort." But Davis' group has also set up a website - TrustHuckabee.com - and has conducted similar push-polling efforts touting Huckabee in Iowa.
Ah, the biblethumper is reaping the benefits of this nasty, many times illegal method of reaching voters. Typical Theocrat bullshit tactic..slime your competition with lies and innuendo while you thump that bible. Tweety Matthews interviewed an individual yesterday on his show that got one of the calls. It was of course aimed at making McCain look like a horrible, disgusting, gay-loving humanoid.

Huckabee hears an alarm clock, instead of voices apparently
1998, then-Arkansas governor Mike Huckabee spoke at the National Pastors' Conference, explaining why he entered into politics:
I didn't get into politics because I thought government had a better answer. I got into politics because I knew government didn't have the real answers, that the real answers lie in accepting Jesus Christ into our lives. […]
I hope we answer the alarm clock and take this nation back for Christ.
In the past, Huckabee has also claimed that God supports Republicans. McCain, similarly, has claimed that "the Constitution established the United States of America as a Christian nation."
If that didn't tickle your 'funny bone' take a gander at the GQ writeup currently online. A small piece to tempt you:
It's only when Huckabee talks religion that you realize how conservative he is. Unlike most of the GOP field, he isn't just trying to woo the religious right. He is the religious right—a former Baptist minister, a believer's believer on abortion and gay marriage, a skeptic about evolution. But while it may seem strange to hear a candidate say "stewardship of the earth" in one breath and "abortion mill" in another, you should get used to it: Huckabee's mix of economic populism and social conservatism might just be the future of the post-Bush GOP.
Ok..I am going to have nightmares now about this jackass. Seriously..the future of the GOP? Dear Buddha..save us.

Can a Mormon beat a Baptist Preacher in Iowa?

Today, Mitt the Mormon will deliver a speech about religion, entitled 'Faith in America' at the George Bush Memorial library in College Station, Texas.
I love where he is doing this..irony indeed! But it does give me pause to ask;
WTF Mitt? the first votes for President will be coming out of Iowa you dipshit..
As a young man shot down during the last world war, George H.W. Bush told an interviewer from the Wall Street Journal that this was what went through his mind:
"I thought about mother and dad and the strength I got from them -- and God and faith and the separation of church and state."--Laughing my fucking ass off folks..seriously..isn't this funny? Well, it's ironic because almost to the day Bush41 was shot down..Mitt the Mormon is giving a lil speech about religion in H.W's library.
Any who..Slate has a humorous read up about Mitt's speech. Read it and laugh

Even with this tangled history, it is hard to recall a campaign year when electing a president has been so wrapped up in religion. Huckabee's new TV ads promote him as a "Christian leader"; the recent CNN-YouTube debate demanded that GOP presidential contenders reveal whether they believe every word in the Bible in a literal sense; and even Democrats Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama are eager to testify to their religious faith. How far we have come in just four years from the 2004 NPR debate in Iowa in which John Kerry bravely confessed, "My experience in Vietnam ... made me question [my faith] for a period of time."
