Edwards endorses Obama

Novak states Obama will pick John Edwards as AG if elected..

Since I think Robert Novak is a fucking tool..I really don't know what to say about his latest column:

Illinois Democrats close to Sen. Barack Obama are quietly passing the word that John Edwards would be named attorney general in an Obama administration.

Installation at the Justice Department of multimillionaire trial lawyer Edwards would please not only the union leaders supporting him for president, but organized labor in general. The unions relish the prospect of an unequivocal labor partisan as the nation's top legal officer.

In public debates, Obama and Edwards often seem to bond together in alliance against front-running Sen. Hillary Clinton. While running a poor third, Edwards could collect a substantial bag of delegates under the Democratic Party's proportional representation. Edwards then could try to turn his delegates over to Obama in the still-unlikely event of a deadlocked Democratic National Convention.

Does anyone else think this is bullshit? Why would any self-respecting Democrat talk to that fuckwit about anything?

Kucinich on Edwards..

In an email this morning from the Kucinich campaign:

3. In answer to your questions about why I didn't support former Senator John Edwards on the second ballot in Iowa: I have serious concerns about his connections to a Wall Street hedge fund, Fortress Investment Group. While attacking others for accepting campaign money from Washington lobbyists, he is up to his ears in money from Wall Street special interests.

He made half a million dollars in a single year for attending a few meetings for Fortress and has invested a substantial part of his own personal wealth in the hedge fund whose portfolios are responsible for sub-prime predatory lending practices, Medicare privatization, and an entire range of corporate sharp dealings that are driving the middle class into poverty.

While I indicated Senator Obama as a preferred second choice in Iowa, Progressives have fundamental disagreements with him and all of the other Presidential candidates on most of their major positions on the issues.

We must have the courage of our convictions to fully support and vote for what it is we really want. For once, we must realize our power, stop playing tactical games, and vote as a bloc - which, as you know, is what the religious right does and why they often win.

We Progressives are in the majority in this election. We will win only when we refuse to compromise and vote with integrity.

Sirota called Huckabee the winner back in August.

Interestingly enough, he also said Edwards would do ok..which second place in Iowa is a good showing for Edwards. Sirota calls both men "Economic Populists" and has stated for awhile that both of them would do better than 99% of the pundits were speculating.

Kucinich touting Obama in Iowa..wtf?

Which..just totally freaked me the fuck out. Why would Dennis do that? I know he won't get the nod, but still..why do this so damn early? Its only the first caucus/vote..so why is Dennis telling his supporters to vote for Obama? From the LA Times:

DES MOINES -- Barack Obama's campaign for the Democratic presidential nomination might have gained a slight advantage Tuesday with Ohio Rep. Dennis J. Kucinich's recommendation to his supporters to back the Illinois senator if there is insufficient support for Kucinich in individual precincts.

While Kucinich's support is slight here, polls show a statistical tie for first among Obama, New York Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton and former North Carolina Sen. John Edwards. Given that tightness, any small increase in caucus support could turn out to be significant.

Under Iowa's Democratic caucus rules, a candidate must receive 15% of the turnout in a precinct Thursday night to be "viable" in that precinct. Supporters of candidates who do not clear the threshold may then back another candidate.

An agreement between Kucinich and Edwards four years ago to send supporters to the other candidate in precincts where one was not viable has been credited with helping add to Edwards' second-place surge.

I just find it a tad odd that he isn't supporting Edwards this time around..wonder what thats all about...is it about politics? Because I have supported Kucinich only because he doesn't play politics, he votes and speaks his conscience..at least he did. This throws a monkey-fucking-wrench into my plans, since I have been a Kucinich supporter from the start. Damn it..
