The spin goes on..

Listening to the Talking Heads on MSNBC last night, I was struck by how they sanitize the results by breaking them down into race and gender:

Per the exit polls, 47% of the Pennsylvania Democratic electorate last night was made up of white women, higher than any other race/gender subgroup. Clinton ended up winning them by more than 30 points, 66%-34%; in Ohio, she won this group, 67%-31%. The question that everyone seems to be asking now is: Why can't Obama put Clinton away?

So, now...instead of Hillary being DOA, its 'why can't Obama deliver the knock-out punch'?

I find myself getting wrapped up in this bullshit, drawn into wondering aloud about Obama too when BAM..it hits me.

Every state hasn't weighed in yet. Fuck the pundits. It's all spin. Just like Hillary claiming she is now ahead in the popular vote..if you count FL and MI.

But you can't count the votes from FL and MI because the only person on both ballots was good old Hillary. The Obama camp is putting the following spin out there to counter Team Hillary's email this morning:

-- Obama leads among pledged delegates, and Clinton will have to win about 70% of the remaining ones to overtake Obama on this measure. -- to get within 100 pledged delegates of Obama, Clinton will have to win 57% of the remaining ones -- and when looking at the total delegate score (pledged delegates and superdelegates), Obama is about 300 away from clinching the nomination; Clinton, according to NBC's count, is more than 430 delegates away.

Damn, I am mighty tired of everyone's spin..its making me dizzy.

The audacity of an African-American Male..

The bold-faced audacity of Obama to think for one minute that he is where he is because of his intellect, his education and his hard work..its(slaps forehead) because he is a black man! Why the fuck didn't I think of that!..Geraldine did howevah!

I hate that I have to even consider taking sides in this fight. Who is more put-upon..a Woman or an African-American? I have said from the get-go that between the two Democratic candidates, I do not have a horse in this race. Neither of these candidates are progressive my dear reader.

I feel that there is very little difference between the programs offered up by HRC and Obama. What differs is the person behind the campaign and the message.

What changed for me is Geraldine Ferraro’s comments the last two days. WTF is she trying to say? Is she saying women are less discriminated against than African-Americans or the opposite because at this point..its hard to say. Is she saying that because Obama is both an African-American and a male, he has no idea what it’s like to be discriminated against just as a woman? Because if the truth be told..

Both women and people of color are discriminated against here in these United States of America. It’s a fucking fact jack. Both are held to a different standard and both are treated as second-class citizens. But back to Geraldine and her sick point of view..

For Ms. Ferraro, a former female candidate for the office of Vice President, to say Obama was getting a ‘gimme’ based solely on his color and sex.. I am fucking pissed beyond recognition my dear reader. As a brown bitch I know both types of bigotry and discrimination..that as a woman and a minority. Lets, just to be clear, revisit what Ms. Ferraro said:

“If Obama was a white man, he would not be in this position. And if he was a woman of any color, he would not be in this position. He happens to be very lucky to be who he is. And the country is caught up in the concept.”

There it is..one can not pretend what was said..there it is in black and fucking white..ironically so my dear reader.

What pisses me off beyond words is that Ms. Ferraro makes color and sex an issue all by herself.. Her words are divisive in an important contest where we do not need to do that to ourselves..the Republican’s will do it to us all by themselves when both parties choose their candidates and the final race for President starts in earnest. The Republicans will fling the dirt and make race or sex an issue..you can take that to the fucking bank my dear reader.

In essence..Ms. Ferraro did the heavy lifting for the Republicans. And Hillary isn’t discrediting her words. Hillary isn’t disavowing her bullshit and bravado. And I am so fucking pissed.I could spit nails.

Ms. Ferraro didn’t make this about qualifications..she made it about something that shouldn’t matter in this day and age..she made it about the color of someone’s skin or their gender..or as she so eloquently put it..both.

What pisses me off is that women and minorities are fighting against each other in her world. In my world we all stand together to fight this narrow-minded bullshit. As a woman of color, the color brown, I know what the hell it’s like to fight both of these friggin battles..make no mistake about that my dear reader.

Geraldine Ferraro does not. Lets not make any mistake about that. She is a privileged white woman. Instead of making this a campaign about issues and how each candidate will deal with them..for whatever reason and perhaps on purpose, she changed the subject and made it about something that really doesn’t have a damn thing to do with the job of running our nation.

So when Geraldine Ferraro says that people are discriminating against her and her fuckwitted statement because she is a women..I call bullshit on that crap here and now. She is using the tried and true battle cry of the Republicans..reverse discrimination. Kiss my brown female ass Geraldine. Twice even. This campaign does not need any more divisiveness..no bitch, it does not, especially from the inside of the Democratic party.

If her candidate is so weak that she needs to make the case for gender bias coupled with racial bias..then bitch..we got a problem. But she is not contributing to the ‘conversation’ by pointing her tired-ass finger at Obama for being a Black Male as the reason that her candidate is sucking pond scum at this point and using all types of dirty tricks to turn the tide.

I am sicker by the minute of the methods Hillary and her minions, which of course include Geraldine Ferraro, are using to attempt to turn the tide in her favor. Ms. Ferraro is so full of shit at this point, her eyes better be brown. She is making statements that will only harm the Democratic candidate in the fall…because when it’s all said and done Geraldine..

Your a racist and a misogynistic bag of shit in my humble brown bitch opinion. The only thing you care about at this point..is to make sure HRC wins..at all costs. These codes for racist remarks have got to stop or we will get another four more years of Republican rule.

And Lady Ferraro..the cost is too high if we allow you to spew your garbage and get away with it. So I for one, am calling bullshit on your bullshit here and now.

Update; Now, she goes on Fox Noise to explain her bullshittery below:

She just makes it worse in the video. God, someone shut this woman up please!

Hillary to appear on The Daily Show tonight.

This is her second visit to the show. The press release from TDS below:

Hillary Clinton -- the first viable presidential candidate with a working uterus -- will be a guest on the Daily Show this upcoming Monday night -- the eve of the March 4th primaries in Texas, Ohio and several other less sexy states -- to presumably talk about politics, patriotism and pant suits.

The link above also has the videos from her last visit. I would have to call bullshit on the remark about pantsuits.

Factchecking Obama's mailers..

And UPDATE at the bottom of the post...
Those wonderful folks at FactCheck.org have taken the time to go through Obama's mailers about Hillary's positions on NAFTA and healthcare. They are equal opportunity checkers..and they do not play favorites. From their article on this issue:

Clinton said "every Democrat should be outraged" at two "false" mailers that Obama sent to voters in Ohio.

We find that a mailer criticizing her position on trade is indeed misleading. One that attacks her health-care plan we have previously described as straining the facts, though not exactly "false."

* Trade: A mailer showing a locked plant gate quotes Clinton as saying she believed NAFTA was "a boon" to the economy. Those are not her words and Obama was wrong to put quote marks around them. In fact, she's been described by a biographer as privately opposing NAFTA in the White House.

* Health Care: A second mailer said Clinton's health care plan "forces everyone to buy insurance, even if you can't afford it." We have previously said that mailer "lacks context" and strains the facts. But both Obama and Clinton have been exaggerating their differences on this issue.

We've also previously criticized Clinton for sending a mailer that twisted Obama's words and gave a false picture of his proposals on Social Security, home foreclosures and energy.

We leave it to our readers to decide whether they should be "outraged" or not, and at whom.

So, both of these asshats have put out false info on each other..but the problem I have with Obama's mailers is that he used two Newsday articles as Hillary's positions..that is bullshit, as it appears to be a direct quote in the mailer, which IT'S NOT. The words were not Hillary's they were those of the Newsday journalists..and I use journalist loosely here.

I think it's fair to say the dirty politics have begun..tighten your seatbelts it will be a very bumpy ride..

The FactCheck article goes more indepth..check it out at the second link above.

UPDATE...Christopher in the comments here takes FactCheck.org to task by pointing out various times Hillary has touted the wonderfulness of NAFTA..after checking through the internets myself..I find this article by David Sirota that also points to many of the same things Christopher does:

According to NBC's Meet the Press, in 2004, Clinton said, "I think, on balance, NAFTA has been good for New York and America."

The Associated Press reported on 3/6/96 that she said, "NAFTA is proving its worth" and later praising NAFTA as "a free and fair trade agreement."

In her memoir, Clinton trumpeted her husband's "successes on the budget, the Brady bill and NAFTA."

In 1998, Bloomberg News reports that she praised corporations for mounting "a very effective business effort in the U.S. on behalf of NAFTA." Another direct quote.

In a 2002 speech to the Democratic Leadership Council, she said:

"We all know the record of the DLC, the Progressive Policy Institute and, of course, the Clinton-Gore Administration. The economic recovery plan stands first and foremost as a testament to both good ideas and political courage. National service. The Brady Bill. Family Leave. NAFTA. Investment in science and technology. New markets. Charter schools. The Earned Income Tax Credit. The welfare to work partnership. The COPS program. The SAFER program. All of these came out of some very fundamental ideas about what would work. The results speak for themselves. Those ideas were converted into policies programs that literally changed millions of lives and, I argue, changed America."

I now agree with Christopher that FactCheck.org needs to recheck their facts. I stand corrected, thank you Christopher! ;)

Obama wins 9th straight Primary..

Damn..just..damn. Of course the percentage of delegates is all that matters at this point, but the fact is..Hillary was hoping for a different turnout. A month ago she had a substantial lead in WI.

20,000 people turned out in TX tonight to hear Obama. Hillary would kill for that large a crowd. She also did not congratulate him again on his 'win'. Bad attitude there Hill..very bad.

Now, we of course are getting the race breakdown of all those voters..the Asians, the Brown folks, the old white women, the white male vote..God, I hate this part of the 'show'.

On the Democratic Debate last night..

It was cordial, informative and interesting. I was looking forward to it as I have none of the 17 others so far in this silly season. They spent a lot of time on issues that are important to me and the rest of the United States..starting with health care.

John Edwards was the first Democratic candidate to give us his plan on healthcare. As one of the 47 million without health insurance..this is probably the most important issue to me, outside the Iraq War and the Economy of course.

I hate to admit it, but Hillary seems to have the best plan of the two candidates. This puts me in a quandary....

Would I be able to hold my nose and cast a vote for her next Tuesday? Could I actually do that? I have steadfastly refused to consider voting for sHillary. I have stated it from day one.

I am not a one-issue voter. I have, in the past, supported candidates that held different views on specific issues because their basic platform was a good one and for that blessed of all reasons..for the good of the country as a whole.

Now..I just don't know..I have to figure it out soon however, because Tuesday is right around the corner. Jesus, I hate being conflicted....

Politics..Hillary style.

Watch her last ad that will be running tonight on every Iowa channel during the evening news. Check out how many times she lies about 'bringing our soldiers home', when we all know she has no intention of doing that in her 'first' term as President. Bitch has balls, thats for sure. This is her bullshit for the masses commercial. Wonder how many will buy into it..we will know tomorrow evening.

In a recent debate, all three of the Democratic front-runners declined to make a pledge to have all U.S. forces withdrawn from Iraq by 2013

"Will you pledge that by January 2013, the end of your first term, more than five years from now, there will be no U.S. troops in Iraq?" MSNBC's Tim Russert, who moderated the debate, asked Senator Barack Obama.

"I think it's hard to project four years from now, and I think it would be irresponsible," Sen. Obama responded. "We don't know what contingency will be out there," he continued. The best he could do was declare: "I will drastically reduce our presence there to the mission of protecting our embassy, protecting our civilians, and making sure that we're carrying out counterterrorism activities there."

Sen. Hillary Clinton, likewise, refused to take the pledge. "I agree with Barack," she said, adding, "It is very difficult to know what we're going to be inheriting."

Even former Senator John Edwards, who is generally placed as the No. 3 Democrat in major-media polling and who has made opposition to the war a cornerstone of his campaign, responded in the negative to Russert's question, saying: "I cannot make that commitment."

Helen Thomas, a columnist for Hearst Newspapers and a veteran White House correspondent covering every administration from John F. Kennedy through George W. Bush, blasted the democratic presidential candidates and "the spineless Democratic congressional leadership" in a column entitled, "The Democrats who enable Bush."

The scrappy Thomas angrily noted:

The leading Democratic presidential candidates sang from the same songbook: Sens. Hillary Clinton of New York, and Barack Obama of Illinois, and former North Carolina Sen. John Edwards refused to promise to withdraw U.S. troops from Iraq by 2013, at the end of the first term of their hypothetical presidencies. Can you believe it?

I believe it Helen..problem is..the voters have very short memories.. Now, I think the next video is more truthful than Hillarys..except for the part about voting for Obama..I am not ready to cast my lot with him or Edwards yet.

Hillary and friends playing the bully..

Angry Black Bitch has a good post up that informs us of the following:

Clinton Launches Obama Attack Web Sites

ABC News has learned that the campaign of Sen. Hillary Clinton, D-N.Y., has registered the names of two Web sites with the express goal of attacking her chief rival, Sen. Barack Obama, D-Ill.

It's the first time this election cycle a presidential campaign has launched a Web site with the express purpose of of launching serious criticisms on a rival.

That's right Hill..don't tell us what you want to do..just cheap shot your closest rival. Wotta load of fuckwittery this is. Its also a typical Rethug move, which doesn't surprise me in the least, but a Democrat that stoops this low is pure cow shit indeed. Swiftboating fits your smarmy ass so nicely Hillary Rodham-Clinton..seriously.

Hillary hearts big business which means she loves NAFTA with all her heart.

David Sirota has a piece up about Hillary's position on NAFTA and the new NAFTA expansion the Senate will vote on next week. He made a YouTube vid of her response last night in the latest round of Presidential debates held on CNN.

Hillary is a DINO for the most part. She is a Rethug in Democratic clothing on many of the important issues. NAFTA expansion is one of THE most important domestic issues facing us today. NAFTA has affected our workforce as no other bill passed by our congress ever has in the last decade or so.. imho.

Thanks to David Sirota for posting about this video, he attended YearlyKos. Hillary doesn't come out so good in this one imho.

The leader of the Chickenhawks is..a Female!

Hillary Clinton no less..I swear..I almost broke my jaw when it hit the table as I read this article this morning on Alternet. I actually had to read this line twice:

Clinton shifts her position on troop withdrawal from Iraq, now saying she'll pull out all the troops by the end of her second term.

I couldn't believe it..seriously..I thought perhaps I was dreaming and pinched myself so hard I have a friggin bruise on my forearm now. WTF bitch?

Remember, Ol' Hill is saying she will 'Bring the troops home"..but she isn't saying ALL THE TROOPS.

Listen to Ted Koppel's NPR piece about Hillary's lie here.

And from our WTF dept....

Hillary hauled in the largest amount of cash so far in the Presidential sweepstakes. In fact, her number was a record-breaking number for contributions. Not only is it breaking all records for a three month haul..this is twice as much as ol' Hill herself thought she would raise. This might not be a surprise to some folks..she has one powerful political machine that woman. I know personally, I expected her to bring in the most cash..this woman is no shrinking violet when it comes to campaigning and raising the big money to get elected. But for the love of god..$26 Million in 3 lousy months and a year before the first votes will be cast? Amazing..simply amazing..and a woman did it.

What did come as a shock to my system was when she came out publicly the next day and stated she would back public funding of campaigns if elected president...next year.

Also bear in mind this woman was also the first to completely 'opt out' of the public funding system that has been in place for a long, long time.

This would seem to be a tad disingenuous at first blush. Upon further review... a hypocritical bunch of bullshit that our Hillary would be spouting regarding her commitment to public financing of elections.

In other words...Do as I say, not as I do.

Ain't that some shit my dear reader? It reminds me of an old saying: How can you tell when a politician is being insincere? When their lips are moving....

Nutjobs of the Week: Republican Swiftboaters against Hillary.

Cross-posted at:

Let me start by saying, I am no fan of Hillary’s. I do appreciate what she went through when her hubby Bill was in office, there is no denying the fact that she put on a happy face and trudged through that part of her life. It has become obvious however, why she did that.

She wanted the job. Hillary has been running for President since the day Bill Clinton took the oath of office. And as she has said: ‘She’s in it to win it’.

This is causing major concern for the GOP activists. They friggin hate ol’ Hill with a passion usually saved for Michael Moore, Cindy Sheehan and various other anti-war activists on the left. Funny, but Hillary isn’t anti-war..she is a hawk, don’t ya know?

Dick Morris, who actually worked for Bill Clinton is spearheading the Anti-Hillary campaign with a documentary on her. Per this article this is what the likes of Dicky Morris thinks about Hillary;

"People are doing what they're doing because they want to defeat her before she has a chance to win. You can't hold off your silver bullet to the end," said veteran Republican operative David N. Bossie, who is involved in the film project with Dick Morris, a former advisor to Bill Clinton.”—Damn, this woman worries them doesn’t she now? I mean, the first primaries aren’t for about a year for the love of god. The same article calls her a formidable threat.

Yet, I cannot find one person on the left who would readily vote Mrs. Clinton for President in ’08. The left doesn’t want her and the right is poised to stop her at all costs. Hillary has been waiting for this she says. She knows how to handle the rightwing nutjobs:

At a recent Democratic National Committee gathering in Washington, Clinton told party officials, "I know how they think, how they act and how to defeat them" — a battle call echoing her 1998 evocation of a "vast right-wing conspiracy" during the furor over her husband's affair with intern Monica S. Lewinsky.

Back to Dick Morris..aka Dicky Mo. He has written scathing columns about Hillary. Then, he has actually come to her defense when Ed Klein wrote an unsubstantiated hit piece intimating that not only was Hillary gay, Bill raped her and …this is the really good part..that was how Chelsea was conceived. This fuckwittery is telling. The right FEARS Hillary. Sweet Jebus in a speedo, they fear Hillary Clinton will become our next President.

There are websites up already, StopHerNow.com and StopHillaryPAC.com. I won’t link to them..sorry. But they are like rabid dogs after an injured animal my dear reader. It actuallys makes one pause..and think…

Damn, has this bitch really got a chance to win? Could Hillary win? As the LAT article quotes one of the StopHillaryPAC folks:

"Those Swift Boat Veterans for Truth were the real heroes of the 2004 election," one online exhortation reads. "We at the StopHillaryPAC want to do the same thing to Hillary."

The Swiftboaters are the same ones that KO’d Kerry’s campaign, oilman T. Boone Pickens and Houston real estate developer Robert Perry.

Isn’t that nice of those mutha fucka’s..they want to play dirty again. It almost makes you want to expose them, and if that is the case..you would also be giving Hillary a helping hand at the same time. Dick Morris btw, was fired in 1996, from Bill Clinton’s staff after it was found that he had a dalliance with a..ahem..prostitute.

But if Hillary knows anything, it’s how to fight back. I mean, think about it..she had to endure the sexcapades during Bill’s first run at the White House. There was the whole “Whitewater” fiasco and TravelGate, which in spite of millions spent by government investigators, never did nail the Clintons to wall on anything. And of course…MonicaGate. Hillary doesn’t sit and wait, she has already hired her own dirt diggers. She has people that do nothing but scour the media and the internets. She hired Judd Legum, previously research director for the Center for American Progress, a liberal think tank headed by former Clinton White House chief of staff John Podesta. Legum is pretty good at digging the dirt, I get the email from C.A.P. that he used to head until he left last month to go over to Hillary’s team. Another fact not well know is that Hillary played a ‘key role’ in the formation of the website Media Matters, which has a huge research staff and provides excellent research on anything the rightwing nutjobs say or do in the media. If you don’t subscribe to their email alerts, I suggest you do, if you’re into those sort of things. The DLC, that stalwart fan of Big Business loves Hillary and Bill. They helped get the first Clinton into office and he promptly rewarded them with NAFTA. Hillary hired Senator Harry Reid’s son this weekend as part of her inner circle.

The rights mantra is that Hillary is a leftwing nutjob in centrist’s clothing. I personally see her as slightly right of center. They vilify her like no other except John Kerry, who said fuck it, and decided not to run again. Can’t blame him, he doesn’t have the stones to run for President

But Hillary has, my dear reader, she has big brass ones. I think in many respects she is smarter than her husband. I think women want to believe her and leftwingers will vote for her if they have to in the general election next year. Even Ralph Nader hates her. He has threatened to run if Hillary is the Democratic nominee. Of course Ralph hates Obama and Edwards too, he is just a grouchy old fuck. The right points at her early socialistic view of healthcare as a major reason they hate her and proof that she isn’t a moderate. They will play as dirty as they have to, and they don’t care what it costs. They want her gone. To me, that says they are very afraid of this woman. That can only be a good thing. She does have one weapon at her disposal: Bill Clinton. Bill’s public approval ratings were still higher than Bush’s when he left office. People think he got a bum deal, or maybe Monica’s indiscretion wasn’t as important as the Iraq War.

We could do worse you know..we could get Newt Fuckwit Gingrich who would hand over every right we have if it was up to him. Another horror movie is John “Weathervane” McCain. If it comes down to Hillary Clinton and a republican..what would you do? That’s what the rightwing activists are afraid of.
